F.A.Q.'s |
|
| |
Q: Why choose our System of Cosmetic Whitening
over dentists bleaching treatment? |
|
| |
A: The whitening gel was developed
by an ISO Certified Dental Laboratory and dentists
for fast whitening action and long lasting results.
This is the same teeth whitening gel that is
dispensed by dental offices worldwide. From the
patented moldable trays to the gel, the treatment is
essentially what a dentist would prescribe; but
milder for less sensitivity, less time and less
cost. |

Q:
Who may benefit from cosmetic teeth whitening? |
|
| |
A: Almost everyone can enjoy the
benefit of the teeth whitening process if his or her
teeth and gums are healthy. Teeth cannot be made
whiter than genetically possible. There are many
reasons for discolored teeth. Tetracycline stains
are very difficult to remove; however, 95% of our
clients experience noticeably whiter teeth. Some
teeth are naturally pigmented or stained as they
develop. Aging and the on-going ingestion of coffee,
tea, cola, wine, tobacco products, curries, etc can
lead to the staining of the teeth. |

|
|
| |
Q:.
Why should I consider having a whiter smile? |
|
| |
A: Studies have shown that not only
do people who have whiter teeth look younger than
people who don't, but that there is a correlation
between high self-esteem and a white, confident
smile. In addition to the aesthetic reasons.

Q:
How does teeth whitening system work? |
|
| |
A: First, an impression of the teeth
is taken. A “tray” filled with a whitening gel, is
inserted into the mouth and left in place for 15
minutes. This bleaches embedded discolored
substances (stains). The structure of the tooth is
not changed; only the tooth enamel stain is changed
and becomes a lighter and whiter shade. |

Q:
How long does this process take and what are the
results? |
|
| |
A: Individuals results will vary
depending on the consumer's habits, their unique
dental make-up, age, and genetics. We recommend a
15-minute treatment. One to Two years is not
unusual, but we do recommend that you now care for
your newly whitened teeth by avoiding dark liquids,
acidic liquids like coffee, tea, red wine, colas,
etc. Typically, the whitening effect becomes even
more evident after a second treatment. Over time,
and for the very same reasons that caused the teeth
to discolor in the first place, the consumer will
notice their teeth darkening again. Typically, we
recommend pursuing another and the teeth will be
restored back to their brilliant white color.
Consumers who smoke cigarettes or drink heavy
quantities of dark liquid will have to touch up
their teeth more often than people who do not.

Q:
Are there any side effects? |
|
| |
A:. There are relatively few side
effects from tooth whitening if gums are normal and
healthy. Some people may feel a little tingling
sensation, white gum line (blanching), or
sensitivity, all of which are normal and not
harmful. These can be easily remedied with a little
vitamin E oil. |

|
|
| |
Q:
Will fillings and crown be affected by the
whitening? |
|
| |
A: While hydrogen peroxide will have
no negative effect on the integrity of fillings,
crowns and veneers; the simple fact is that these
materials are slightly affected. However, the
peroxide will remove staining from composite
materials. The standard procedure is to whiten all
adjacent teeth, wait two weeks for the color to
stabilize, then go to your dentist and match the
crown to the new shade of your teeth. If a crown is
already been in place for many years the whitening
process can return the rest of the teeth to the
original shade prior to the crown placement.

Q:
Is whitening for everyone? |
|
| |
A: Pregnant and nursing mothers,
children under the age of 14, and diabetics should
consult their physician prior to undergoing any
whitening procedure. Consumers with severely
tetracycline stained teeth, traumatized, non-vital
teeth or excessive fluoride use that causes severe
staining may opt for a more aggressive cosmetic
procedures. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Q:
What about professional Liability? |
|
| |
A: Our process is essentially
self-administered. It is not a dental procedure.
Because it is self-administered, there is less
inherent liability than with other spa or salon
procedures, such as hair tinting, facials, or body
waxing. Your operators will be training on how to
instruct your clients on how to administer the
treatment. It is the client that applies the
product, not the operator. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Q:
How long before I can eat or drink after my
treatment? |
|
| |
A: During the first 24 hours after
the treatment we recommend avoiding coffee, tea,
dark colored sodas, red wines, berries, candy, red
sauces, beets, or any foods that have the propensity
to stain. Remember if it can stain a white tee shirt
it can stain your teeth. |
